The eagerness to buy declined slowly and they became apt to save their money though their salaries were increased. In America, the amount of personal consumption equals more than two-thirds of total U.S. products. The tendency shows that they became consider their future carefully and have a sense of danger about their money. Of course, the change affects American food market. The slow consumption makes the consumption of food decrease. Therefore, the supply exceeds the demand and finally the price of food will be lower than before. That is to say, the food in America will be chaper gradually.

Nagoya Food (Nagoyameshi) Part 2

Tenmusu and Tebasaki and Hitsumabushi

Today, I will introduce Tenmusu and Tebasaki and Hitsumabushi.

Tenmusu is Onigiri with shrimp tempura. Some stores put shrimp tempura on the top of Tenmusu and others stores put in shrimp tempura in Onigiri. I suppose that the former style is more popular than the latter I have ever seen.

Tebasaki is one of the fried chickens and the part is used the tip of chicken wigs. There are some flavours like Tare, salty and so on. The Tebasaki in this picture is Shio flavour.

Finally, I introduce Hitsumabushi. The food came from Nagoya and was used eels. The eels with salty-sweet Tare put on rice. Hitsumabushi is well known as expensive foods in Nagoya.

These foods are so tasty and so please try to eat them if you have a chance to go to Nagoya.

Restaurant Review

Reastaurant Review

I went to "yaffa organic cafe" in Shibya with Shoko.
This restaurant is in the first floor in Tokyu Stay Hotel and uses some organic ingredients in all menu.

Yaffa Organic Cafe has outdoor seats and maybe guests uses this place in warm seasons like spring and summer. Of course, no one used this seats when we went to there. The reason is only it was cold.
But if you use in spring or summer, you would be able to feel comfortable and enjoy eating meals more.

In this day, there are four lunch set menu: organic and unpolished rice lunch, organic vegetables' soup lunch, organic pasta lunch and organic vegetables' special lunch. Almost of the menu contains selectable drinks and salad.  If women order lunch menu, they woukd be full. Also, there is a luch cake which are used organic bananas although I did not order it. The contents of kunch menu is changed every day. So, anyone enjoys eating different meals.

The price is not high and the quantity of meals is much. Organic vegetables' special lunch is 1500yen and the rests of lunch set menu are 1100yen.

I ordered a psta lunch. The menu consisted of a drink, mein dish, two appetizers. I choose an organic tea. Mein dish is a peperoncino with nature farming brocolies and whitebaits. Appetizers are green salad and a pieace of French Bread. I felt it was tasty.

The number of seats are not many, but the interior decoration is beautiful and a homelike atmosphere. Also, there are full of many customers in the cafe and there are some foreigners although that day was weekday.

This day are well-known reastaurant and many mass media deal with the cafe. So, if you are interested in the yaffa organic cafe, please vsit there and enjoy eating!

Do you know Nasi Goreng?

Nasi Goreng

Hi, today I'll introduce Nasi Goreng.
Do you know it? Have you ever heard it?

Nasi Goreng is a popular dish in Indonesia. Nasi means rice and goreng means fried in Indonesia. Indonesian put nashi goreng with egg fried sunny-side up or raw tomatoes and cucumbers.

Last week, I was given it by a member of the volunteer club I belong to. He went to Bali and bought them for our members.
I have eaten it for the first time, but I feel it's very tasty. I also suppose the taste is suitable for Japanese.
If you have a chance to eat it, Please try to eat it!
